Tim Kennedy

"Resident Mad Scientist"

Tim brings a wealth of hands-on experience from his early days as a firefighter and U.S. Army Helicopter Technician, where he served in Iraq and Afghanistan with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). After his military service, he supported critical firefighting and heavy-lift missions as a defense contractor. He went on to lead R&D and manufacturing efforts at Northwest UAV and Blue Origin, contributing to the development of UAV systems and the BE-4/BE-7 rocket engines. A licensed helicopter and UAV pilot, Tim now plays a key role in advancing aerospace integration and innovation.

Micah Lutz

"Chief Paper Pusher"

Originally from Seattle, Micah served a decade in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Multichannel Equipment Technician, supporting global operations with advanced communications systems. After his military service, he co-founded a motorcycle service business before returning home to earn his B.S. in Business Management while working at Boeing, where he tested and troubleshot avionics systems for 737 aircraft. He later completed an MBA and joined Blue Origin as an Integration Engineer, building BE-4 rocket engines and leading hardware processing for valve assemblies. A certified technician and lifelong programmer, Micah is currently pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science alongside his work in aerospace.

Dave Dutcher

"Crash Test Dummy"

Originally from Boise, Dave served six years in the U.S. Army as a UH-60 Blackhawk mechanic, supporting multiple overseas deployments. After his service, he worked as a journeyman well driller and later as a certified Kubota equipment mechanic before joining Blue Origin in 2021 as an Integration Engineer. There, he built turbopumps for the BE-4 engine, led tool and FOD control programs, and ensured compliance with AS9100 standards. At Matrix MDT, Dave leads prototyping, testing, and additive manufacturing, bringing hands-on precision and deep mechanical expertise to every build.
